Super Mario Bros. Movie

During the holiday break in December 2022, TRUFF's VP of Marketing texted me after seeing a preview of The Super Mario Bros. Movie at the theater. Inspired by the field of 'Toads' and mushrooms, she immediately thought of truffles and saw potential for a collaboration.
 

With only four months until the movie's launch, bringing a collaborative item to life seemed unlikely, but I decided to mockup some potential collaborative products just for fun.
 

We shared the mockups to spark conversations with NBC Universal and by January, our team received the green light from Universal Studios, Illumination, and Nintendo to bring a collaboration to life!

By serving as the main creative liaison with NBC Universal and Illumination, I was able to help bring to life an absolutely incredible limited-edition set.

 

Backed by a killer marketing strategy, the product launch was incredibly successful. Over 30K visitors came to the landing page on launch day and the set sold out in under 24 hours.

Led the design and copywriting for both the collaborative item's waitlist page and product detail page.

Sourced creative assets through Illumination and edited clips together to create engaging social content.

GAMEXPLAIN

GameXplain, a YouTube channel with 1.42M+ subscribers, was a perfect venue to promote the collab. I was able to leverage my personal relationship with a host to hit target consumers within the gaming audience, all without fees!
